The Chilliwack dogwood monarch lions club
Received its
charter on June 24th,1994 and our charter
celebration was held on September 17th 1994 at the
senior vets club on Main street Chilliwack, were the following
became charter members when inducted by PCC Rod Barnes.

Our sponsoring
club was the Chilliwack Lions and our guiding Lion was PZC J.A.

The club has
participated in many fund raisers and service projects over the
years (garage sales, hot dog sales, city clean up, wheel chairs,
hospital projects, etc.). The dogwood Lions this year will
celebrate our eighth annual putting tournament held at Tap-Inns
putting course at Cultus Lake. We traditionally participate in
the Canada day celebrations where we have an indoor putting
course to entertain the kids. But our signature fund raiser
remains the live T V bingo that was put together in 1995 with
help of the Hope Lions club and our Charter president Lion
George. This project remains a weekly live TV show on Shaw
channel 4, keeping our members involved weekly and generating
over the years in excess of half a million dollars.
On June 24th
2009 we will celebrate our 15th year as a Lions club.
